Annual Village Meeting & Parish Council Meeting Tuesday 13 May 2025

The Parish Council hosts an Annual Village Meeting to which all residents and interested parties are invited to attend. This year, the Village Meeting will be held in Sapperton Village Hall at 7pm on Tuesday 13 May.

  1. WELCOME – Chair of the Parish Council – Sarah Osborn Smith
  1. PUBLIC FORUM: ALL RESIDENTS HAVE BEEN CODIALLY INVITED TO ATTEND
  1. UPDATES FROM VILLAGE ORGANISATIONS

The following local people have been invited to provide updates on their activities and future plans. In no particular order:

  • The Parish Council
  • The Parochial Church Council – Elizabeth Twinch (TBC)
  • Sapperton Wilder – Chenie and Ed
  • Glos Wildlife Trust – Megan Adamou, Community Action Officer
  • Sapperton CofE Primary School – Meg Crampton, Deputy Head

  • Cotswold District Council – Ward Councillor Julia Judd

Parish Councillors are summoned to a short Annual meeting of the Parish Council to action Council matters

  1. Attendees:
  2. To Receive and Approve Apologies
  3. First Order of Business: Election of Chair and Vice Chair
  4. To APPROVE and SIGN the Minutes of April Parish Council Meeting
  5. Declarations of Interest
  6. Public Forum – All residents of the Parish are invited to remain
  7. CDC District Councillor Report – To Action matters arising from Village Meeting if any.
  8. Clerk’s General and Financial Report – To review matters arising and approve actions:

6.1      To Co-Opt new Parish Councillor.

6.2      To AGREE current financial position/Bank reconciliation

6.3      Receive invoices due for payment and Approve outgoings

6.4      To Approve End of Year Financial Accounts, Bank reconciliation, VAT summary, Budget against Spend, Section 137 Summary, CIL etc

6.5      To consider draft figures for Section 2 AGAR and Variences. 

7.         Planning – To REVIEW current planning applications, determine stance and comment as applicable
