A419 to Aston Down Airfield 7 – 10 October; – Road Closure for Ash Die-Back Work

GCC Highways has advised the Parish Council that from 7th October to 11 October there will be a full road closure from Cirencester to Aston Downs Airfield for necessary Ash-Dieback work commencing on 7 October.

The A419 Road Closure will be from 7 – 11th October 2024 inclusive (excluding weekends) from 09.30 to 15.30 daily.

We have been assured that this work will not overlap with the closure of  Daneway Bridge which will take place between 14 October and 1 Novermber 2024

Please note:

There will be two areas of work: AREA 1 – Royal Agricultural University to Coates Lane and AREA 2 – Coates Lane to Trewsbury Road, as indicated on the map supplied with the letter below.

Only one area of work will be closed at any one time

and there will be no access for through traffic. 

Some access will be maintained for residents – please see the letter below for specific details of this.
